Cat found yoga after a lifetime of relying on the Western world to help her with autoimmune diseases and chronic physical and mental pain. At one point her pain doctor said if what he was providing wasn’t enough with medication, maybe try yoga and meditation. The next day she joined a yoga studio, and the rest was history. Her stagnant physical body needed healthy motions to strengthen and release, while the mind focused on creating a peaceful connection with the self in constructive stillness.
With no intention to teach, Cat took her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) to help her personal understanding of the poses. Hooked on this wisdom, she immediately completed her 300hr and wanted to share with others. She is now an ERYT200 RYT500 who focuses on healing, empowerment, and self respect. She has also taken many specialty coureses inlcuding yin, arthritis, pre/post natal, chair, trauma aweness, aerial and more. Her knowledge of props can help any level of practitioner.
Cat lives in the Dallas area with her long term boyfriend and one eyed blind pug Wink! She loves art, nature, travel, and creating new memories with her tribe. Her yoga practice truly brought a healthy shift into her life and body. Cat will speak to you like an old friend, with care and respect. Having always been called Sunshine, she knows she wants to spread the light of yoga and awareness to all willing to try.
